Biblical Counseling at Redeemer

At Redeemer, we strive to cultivate a culture of discipleship, where we provide soul care for one another through the Bible, prayer, and good deeds. While every Christian has a responsibility to live in a loving and caring way towards others, our church recognizes that there are some who are especially gifted to help with life’s most difficult problems through a season of intensive discipleship. Our pastors are willing to meet with members and non-members however our counseling team prioritizes members of our faith family.

We are a family, and as a family, we actively take responsibility for one another by helping present everyone mature in Christ.

Our Approach

Our goal in counseling is to help people journey from brokenness to wholeness through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We pursue this goal by offering Christ-centered biblical counseling in a team-based approach.

Cost

It is our conviction that biblical counseling is an aspect of the discipleship ministry of the church. Therefore, we offer counseling free of charge.

We Counsel from the Bible

We believe that the Bible provides sufficient guidance and instruction for all of the issues of faith and life. Through the personal ministry of the Word, we seek to help people apply the truths of Scripture to their lives. We also believe that through the Spirit, God empowers his Word to bear fruit in people's lives.

We Make Much of Christ

We offer counsel that is centered on the person and work of Jesus Christ. Our desire is that our counselees will grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In the counseling process, we strive to glorify God by helping people journey from brokenness to wholeness through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We Believe Counseling is a Family Affair

All of our counseling takes place in the context of the local church. A local church is not a building but rather a family. Therefore counseling often takes place in familial settings, including our church campus.

All of our counselors are either certified by the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC), have appropriate biblical counseling degrees, are trained through the Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation (CCEF), or are presently being trained in our biblical counseling residency.

However, our counselors are neither state–licensed nor trained as psychotherapists or mental health professionals and should not be expected to follow the methods of such specialists. For more specifics on the type of counseling Redeemer offers, see our consent form.
